The Brise Soleil Credenza draws from two architectural moments: a simple angled garage door encountered on the daily commute to a former studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and the concrete brise-soleil facades designed by Le Corbusier at Chandigarh Capitol Complex and the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts.

Across the cabinet face, a sequence of angled planes forms a rhythmic surface that recalls the light-filtering geometry of these structures. The door pulls reference the handle of a cooking pot observed at the Ohi Museum in Kanazawa, Japan, introducing a tactile counterpoint to the architecture. Beneath the cabinet, the legs employ the same clipping language as the Clipping Coffee Table, creating a quiet tension with the ordered geometry of the doors.
